TAKE IT DOWN Act Compliance Policy

Last updated: September 2026

Introduction

This TAKE IT DOWN Act Compliance Policy explains how OpenGoon receives and reviews complaints and removal requests related to nonconsensual intimate imagery and similar covered content. We take reports seriously and aim to respond promptly when a valid request is submitted.

This policy is intended to help individuals understand how to request removal of content and what information helps us process a complaint efficiently.

Applicability

This policy applies to complaints and removal requests submitted in connection with content that may fall within the scope of the TAKE IT DOWN Act, including reports involving intimate imagery published or shared without consent.

It also applies to related requests submitted through our published abuse contact channels regarding content that appears on or is linked from OpenGoon informational pages and related product flows we control.

How to Submit a Removal Request

Requests may be submitted to abuse@opengoon.net.

To help us review your request quickly, please include:

  • Your full name and a working email address for follow-up
  • A clear description of the content you want removed
  • Direct URLs, screenshots, or other identifiers for the content
  • A statement explaining why the content should be removed (including whether it was shared without consent)
  • Any supporting details that help us locate and verify the content

You may also use our general content removal form at /content-removal.

Processing Timeline

After we receive a complete request, we review it as quickly as reasonably possible. Where the request is valid and the content is within our control, we aim to take action within 48 hours.

Incomplete requests may take longer because we may need additional details before we can locate or verify the content. We may contact you at the email address you provide if clarification is required.

Platform Notice

OpenGoon.net primarily provides informational and referral pages. Some product features, hosting, storage, or generation flows may be operated through third-party services or external destinations. Where content is hosted by a third party outside our direct control, we may forward relevant details, provide guidance, or take available actions within the systems we control.

Submitting a request does not guarantee removal in every case, especially where we cannot access or control the underlying content host. We will still review good-faith reports and respond where possible.

No Liability for Good-Faith Removal

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, OpenGoon and its operators are not liable for good-faith removal, restriction, disabling, or related actions taken in response to a complaint or removal request submitted under this policy, including actions taken to comply with legal obligations or to reduce harm.

Nothing in this policy creates rights beyond those required by applicable law, and this page is provided for informational and operational guidance.
